Luray Car Accident Requiring Cervical Fusion and Ulna Fracture Internal Fixation

Our client was injured in a car accident in Septemeber 2008 in Luray. The defendant driver did not yield the right of way and made a left turn in front of our clients car.

The injuries to our client included a spine injury at C3-C6 and a left distal ulna fracture. She was initially taken to Page Memorial Hospital but due to the severity of the injuries, she was transfered to the University of Virginia Medical Center. While there she had to undergo surgery for both injuries. A cervical disc fusion was performed on her neck and an internal fixation was performed to fix her distal ulna fracture. After being released she was sent for physical therapy to help her regain strength and motion in both her neck and wrist

Her disc fusion was was performed by Dr. Aaron Dumont and the internal fixation was perfomed by Dr. Abhinav Chabbra. Our clients meidcal bills were over $165,000. Unfortunately there was not enough insurance coverage available but we were able to negotiate the medical bills down so our client was able to make a significant recovery.
