Virginia Motorcyle Accident Results in Compression Fracture
Our client was injured in a collision that occurred in August 2010, on Route 151 in the County of Nelson, Virginia. At the time of the collision, our client was riding his motorcycle and was slowing down, almost to a stop, to make a left hand turn into a restaurant. While slowing down to make the turn, he was rear-ended by a car. The impact was hard enough that the motorcycle became lodged into the hood of the car. Our client was thrown off of his bike.

He was taken by ambulance to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia where he was diagnosed with a T4 compression fracture and multiple abrasions and contusions. While at UVA Hospital, he had x-rays, an MRI and a CT Scan. After his hospital stay, our client was placed in a Thoraco-Lumbo-Sacral Orthosis (TLSO) brace which he had to wear for several weeks. He remained in the brace until his fracture healed with good alignment. Fortunately he made a very good recovery.
